Some 40 years ago, "The Sweet Shop" came into existence. It consisted of gifts, candies, caramel corn and ice cream. Today, the same delicious treats are available but in greater variety. Our Goodies list the many homemade treats we make including over 100 kinds of candy. We continue to produce these luscious candies the old-fashioned way, "One piece at a time".

John and Janeen Russell purchased the store in 2002 from her parents, Paul and Helen Beardsley, who had nurtured the store and served the community for 25 years. It is truly a tradition of the heart.

Cadillac Snowbirds® - Our premier and store associated specialty. White chocolate and Georgian pecan pieces cooked to perfection. A registered trademark for nearly 40 years.
  Some 40 years ago we needed to come up with a name for our special snowbird candies. So, we had a contest to determine what the best name would be. Many of our patrons would send these candies to friends and relatives who migrated to Florida, Arizona, etc for the winter; with a note saying, "a treat to you Cadillac Snowbirds" and hence the name was founded.
